Event-driven Analysis
Rapid response analysis to the latest African economic and political events as they occur
Africa Talking Points
Talking Points provide analysis and commentary on important economic and political events as they occur across the African continent during the day. Depending on events we produce between one and thirteen Talking Points per day. These rapid response alerts can be delivered immediately via email or as a daily or weekly roundup as Daily or Weekly Insight reports.
Talking Points have two main sections: - A description of the event or data release, what has happened and why. - Why do we care? Our analysis of why the event is important and its implications for the national economic or political environment.
Talking Points cover a wide range of topics that are flagged by our team of experts for their importance and impact. Topics covered can include: - Data releases - Rate changes - Changes in sovereign risk ratings - Election results - Political appointments - Business deals - Policy change - Reaction to events
